Overview:

The Customer Service & Support (CSS) organization within CE&S builds trust and confidence for every person and organization through delivering a seamless support experience. In Modern Work (MW), the CSS team helps customers get and stay productive with Microsoft 365 product families. As a Technical Support Engineer in CSS, you will own, troubleshoot, and solve customer technical issues.

Qualifications: Required/Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of technical support, technical consulting experience, or information technology experience.
  • OR Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology (IT), or a related field AND 1+ year(s) of technical support, technical consulting experience, or information technology experience.
  • 1+ years of experience in Windows Server platforms and business applications such as SharePoint.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Technology Certifications.
  • Customer handling experience on technical issues.
  • Experience in Windows Active Directory Services and Internet Information Services (IIS).
  • Adequate knowledge in SQL and Exchange server.
  • Knowledge of PowerShell and .Net would be an added advantage.
  • Good understanding of Operating System and Networking Technologies.
  • Skills in troubleshooting security-related issues involving NTFS, IIS, Active Directory, LDAP, and SQL Server.

Technical Support Engineering IC3 – The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $64,800 – $130,100 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $86,400 – $142,700 per year.
