Apply for Francis Regan Student Scholarship 2022 | Application Update

Applications for the Francis Regan Student Scholarship are now  available for eligible candidates. All Flinders University sponsored students are eligible for this fully funded scholarship  grant.

About Francis Regan Student Scholarship

Flinders University is one of the public universities in Adelaide, South Australia which was founded in 1966. In order to honor navigator Matthew Flinders, the university was named after him due to his candid deeds. As early as 19th Century, he has surveyed and explored South Australian Coastline.

The Francis Regan Student Scholarship was launched in order to help provide financial support to students who is enrolled in Honors degree or Masters degree in courses like, Law, Criminology, Government, Business at Law at Flinders University as well as students who is doing a research any course of social justice.

Benefits of Scholarship

The scholarship will be awarded annually and will be worth $1,000, provided there is availability of money for it.

Requirements for Francis Regan Student Scholarship

The application requirements for the scholarship includes that the applicant must:

1. Be enrolled at Flinders University in an honors program or master’s program in business, criminology, government, or law; and
2. Be working on a social justice-related research topic; and
3. Be able to exhibit a dedication to social justice through employment, education, volunteerism, or another activity.
4. Not have received the previous Francis Regan Student Scholarship.

Selection Criteria

This scholarship will be given subject to the following criterion which includes that the applicants should:

1. prove their dedication to social justice matters through their career, studies, volunteerism, or other activities that could demonstrate same; and
2. Explain in details, how the scholarship will be of help to the applicant’s research project and/or living expenses while conducting the research.

However, all applications will be assessed and judged by a panel that includes the Vice-President and Executive Dean, Government and Law, College of Business, or  nominee acting as chair, and two nominees, that will be appointed by the Vice-President and Executive Dean (VP&ED).

Application Deadline

The deadline for the application for the Scholarship is by 2nd December, 2022.
